Danish Language Course exams
The Danish Language Courses end with two examinations; a written part and an oral part. Both examinations must be passed in order to pass the course.
Assessment takes the form of the 7-point scale.
Pre-Semester Courses: The written exam will take place on Friday in the third week of the course. The oral exam will take place on either Monday or Tuesday in the following week so you have the weekend to prepar for it. Your teacher will inform you about the correct dates during the course.
Semester Courses: Exams will take place in mid-May or mid-December. Your teacher will inform you about the correct dates during the course.
When registering for the course you will also be registered for the exams. You cannot follow the course without taking the exams. The Danish Language Course coordinators will register you for the exams.
In case you do not pass one or both exams it is possible to do a re-examination (please read below under “Re-examinations”).
ECTS credit points:
The Danish Language Courses are each prescribed to 7.5 ECTS credits. ECTS credits are obtained when you complete the course and pass the final examinations. You must pass both the written (3.75 ECTS) and the oral (3.75 ECTS) examination in order to receive the 7.5 ECTS. You will not receive 3.75 ECTS credits if you only pass one of the two exams.
- The course, the ECTS credits and results will appear on your final transcript and cannot be removed.
- The course will also appear on your transcript if you are not present for the exams and it will show that you did not take and pass the exam.
- The course will appear on your transcript if you fail one or both exams with the achieved grades.

Exchange students do automatically obtain 7.5 ECTS credits for the Danish Language Courses when completing the course and passing the examinations.
