PhD project

My PhD project is entitled "Law, private governance, and immigrants’ experiences of integration barriers in Denmark".

The project is part of Silvia Adamo’s research project “Law and Private Governance for a New Understanding of Immigrant Integration” (LUII), which aims at examining barriers to integration and the potential for private actors to promote integration better.

My PhD project is socio-legal in its nature and examines legally relevant barriers and potentials from the view of immigrants themselves using qualitative and quantitative (survey) social scientific research methods.

The focus is on the access to work, health care and accomodation, and special attention is given to the potential role of private actors, including companies, NGOs, trade unions and housing associations, in enhancing integration.

The webpage for the BASE survey that underlies my PhD can be found here.
