Using Communication Support in Aphasia Groups
Open guest lecture by Roberta J. Elman, Ph.D.
The lecture is given as part of the activities of International research network on Supporting Communicative Participation of Individuals with Aphasia, and is funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark.
Roberta J. Elman, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, BC-ANCDS, is President/CEO and Founder of the Aphasia Center of California, an independent, nonprofit organization founded in 1996, providing speech-language treatment, clinical research, and training/consultative services. Dr. Elman received her Ph.D. in Speech & Hearing Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has more than 30 years of experience in the assessment and treatment of neurogenic communication disorders. Dr. Elman is an internationally invited speaker, author of numerous professional publications, editor of a book for Plural Publishing entitled Group Treatment of Neurogenic Communication Disorders: The Expert Clinician’s Approach, and a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
