New Carlsberg Foundation donates decoration to INSS

In the autumn, after a long application phase, the Art Committee and Head of Department at INSS received a generous donation from the New Carlsberg Foundation for the decoration of INSS. With the New Carlsberg Foundation's support, a work by the internationally recognised Danish artist Kirstine Roepstorff (b. 1972) has been commissioned. The work is based on the concept of "resonance" and will be located permanently on a large concrete wall between the Department Library and the Library's entrance area. The area is visible from many parts of the building and will constitute a visual and auditory fixed point in the building. The wall is decorated with a landscape that is brought to life by birds and insects and incorporates an integrated zig-zag trajectory path from the 5th to the 2nd floor levels, with acoustic elements.

See sketch of the decoration here.
