Three dissertations were defended in March 2016 at Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics:
On March 3rd Charlotte Øhrstrøm defended her doctoral thesis: ”L2 listening at work. A qualitative study of international employees’ experiences with understanding Danish as a second language”. The dissertation investigates individual learners’ experiences with listening in Danish as an L2 in everyday situations at work.

On March 11th Louise Klinge defended her doctoral thesis on the subject of relational competence of teachers. Through empirical analysis the dissertation examines the conditions for and the characteristics and effects of whether teachers act relationally competent in interactions with single students and a full class in general teaching on a primary school basis.

On March 18th Anne-Mette Veber Nielsen defended her doctoral thesis on the subject of significance of orthographic knowledge (existing knowledge of the orthographic system) for spelling abilities, and the relation between orthographic knowledge and orthographic learning during independent reading.
