The National Archives of Estonia hold in their collections almost 1000 silhouettes made by the Baltic-German artist Eveline von Maydell (1890-1962). In collaboration with the Art Museum of Estonia a large exhibition was planned to take place in March 2014. Before that conservation division of the National Archives had challenging task to improve the condition of the scissor cuts. Very fragile and poorly protected silhouettes needed conservation and repackaging considered upcoming exhibition.

The paper-cuts were also digitized.
