My research mostly deals with the textual and material transmission and the reception of Latin and Italian literary works across the late Middle-Ages and the Renaissance period, and with the impact that the introduction of movable-type printing had on these aspects.

My main areas of interest at the moment are the library of Hernando Colón (1488-1539), which I research as a member of the Book of Books Project; the transmission and the reception of Aesopian texts (Fabulae, Vita Aesopi, volgarizzamenti and reworkings of different kind) in Europe in the 15th century; the decoration of manuscripts and incunabula in the first decades after the introduction of movable-type printing.

At the University of Copenhagen, I am a full member of the Textual Scholarship working group; among other things, I am also a member of the Society for Neo-Latin Studies, as well as of the Textvid Öresund Network for textual scholarship and philology, and of the CERL Incunabula working group.

I have been involved in different cataloguing projects, both of manuscripts and of incunabula, and in the development and implementation of various digital resources for researching early book-history (MEI, TEXT-Inc, 15cILLUSTRATION, 1516, BOB).
