We explore how the smartphone app SeeingAI can be used by visually impaired people (VIPs) when going shopping. Based on video recordings and ethnomethodological conversation analysis, we contribute insights to the everyday use of computer vision technology and natural language technology (NLP) ‘in the wild’.
