BGB participates in international conferences
In the spring 2019 the preliminary results of the BGB project have been presented at three international scientific events:
- February 22-23 2019 our research intern Julie Johanna Hansen presented a scientific poster at the workshop Fonologi i Norden (FiNo 2019) at University of Edinburgh. The poster was entitled "Verbal inflections in L1 and L2: what is the role of homophony?"
- May 22-24 2019 PhD student Katrine Falcon Søby and PI Line Burholt Kristensen participated in the 7th Conference of the Scandinavian Association of Language and Cognition (SALC7) at Aarhus University. They held a theme session on "Cognitive Approaches to L2 grammar" with the project's collaboration partner professor Mila Vulchanova from NTNU with three scientific talks on grammar anomalies in Danish as a first language and Danish as a second language.
- May 27-29 2019 PhD student Katrine Falcon Søby, PI Line Burholt Kristensen and research intern Julie Johanna Hansen participated in the international conference "Nordens Sprog som andetsprog" (NORDAND 14). They held a talk on "Learner grammar vs. native grammar - do native speakers always know best?" and presented two scientific posters entitled "Jeg køre en tur for at besøger dig” : verbal inflection in L1 and L2 Danish" and "Do Germans have an advantage in the L2 Danish classroom? The role of L1 in grammar anomaly production
